Physician Assistant

Physician Assistant (PA) positions are rapidly expanding at UMHS. We’ve watched our ranks grow from around 50 in 2003 to over 170 today.

How to get started

Qualifications for application at UMHS as a PA include: Satisfactory completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), certification by the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA), current permanent License to practice as a PA in the state of Michigan (no temporary licenses will be considered), and current BLS certification (or more advanced resuscitation certification).
